আজ মহান মে দিবস ।। আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রমিক দিবস

আজ ১লা মে যা আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রমিক দিবস যা সচরাচর মে দিবস নামে অভিহিত। প্রতি বছর পয়লা মে তারিখে বিশ্বব্যাপী দিবসটি উদযাপিত হয়। এটি আন্তর্জাতিক শ্রমিক আন্দোলনের উদ্‌যাপন দিবস। পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশে শ্রমজীবী মানুষ এবং শ্রমিক সংগঠনসমূহ রাজপথে সংগঠিতভাবে মিছিল ও শোভাযাত্রার মাধ্যমে দিবসটি পালন করে থাকে। বাংলাদেশসহ বিশ্বের প্রায় ৮০টি দেশে পয়লা মে জাতীয় ছুটির দিন। আরো অনেক দেশে এটি বেসরকারিভাবে পালিত হয়। ১৮৮৬ সালের পয়লা মে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের শিকাগো শহরে অনেক শ্রমজীবী মানুষ নিপীড়নের বিরুদ্ধে গড়ে তুলেছিলেন প্রচণ্ড দুর্বার [...]
